Wharton is the world’s oldest collegiate school of business, which started a new sector of schools dedicated to a major as wide as a business. Some notable alumni include Elon Musk and Warren Buffet.

Wharton, being one of the top business schools in the country, boasts a 9% acceptance rate. This means that students who are at the top of their classes gain admission, making Wharton an incredibly competitive and selective school. The average SAT score for Wharton is 1490, and their average ACT score is 33. GPAs of incoming freshmen are usually high, averaging at around the 3.9 range.

Wharton is a good business school because of the opportunities and connections they offer at their college. They host an ecosystem of hard-working students in all of their programs (for example, their entrepreneurship program). The school offers a wide range of opportunities for startup companies to grow and flourish in their San Francisco entrepreneurship program. Their finance program often crosses between the worlds of technology and finance, allowing students to learn how investments and financial actions will grow and change in this time of technological advancement. They also offer data courses, which allow students to learn decision making based on data trends. Overall, Wharton is a top-tier school with an environment dedicated to motivating students. The school might be hard to gain admission to, but once admission is gained, you gain access to a selective network of hard-working, passionate business students just like you.
